Located in the centre of the island, it is accessible by road, regional rail, local tram, cycle and pedestrian routes. It can also be reached by boat via the marina from the north. The CDB is a walkable district centre and linked to the marina via a pedestrian corridor which is punctuated by a series of public places including: a leisure fronted plaza and a transport hub that intersects with the main linear park. Vehicle access is along the eastern and western edges of the commercial core which link to a gateway from the main land.
